Llanfair Slate Caverns
Attraction
The slate in this mine, which is found in veins between layers of ancient Pre-Cambrian rocks, is among the oldest in the world. Many industrial towns in Britain and Ireland have the original roofs made of Llanfair slate.
Mary Jones Pilgrim Centre

In 1800, a 15 year-old girl called Mary Jones walked 26 miles from Llanfihangel-y-Pennant to Bala to buy a book.

Portmeirion was created by the architect Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1976. He wanted to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it.
Royal Welch Fusiliers Regimental Museum

The Museum is housed in two towers of Caernarfon Castle. In it you will find a wealth of original exhibits, supported by film, sound and models, which tell the story of over 300 years of service by Wales’ oldest infantry regiment, in peaceti
