Llanberis Lake Railway
Attraction
This lovely little line runs alongside Llyn Padarn in the Padarn Country Park for a there-and-back journey of five miles. Stop off for a lakeside picnic at Cei Llydan, or visit the National Slate Museum at Gilfach Ddu.
Llŷn Maritime Museum
Attraction
The Llŷn Maritime Museum holds a unique collection of around 400 artefacts associated with the maritime heritage and history of Nefyn and the Llŷn Peninsula.
Nomad

Penrhyn Castle

This enormous 19th-century neo-Norman castle sits between Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. It's crammed with fascinating items, such as a one-ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria, elaborate carvings, plasterwork and mock-Norman furniture.

Porthmadog’s bustling harbour was even busier 150 years ago. Discover the reason at this museum, which tells the story of the port’s shipbuilding and slate exporting heyday.
