This lovely little line runs alongside Llyn Padarn in the Padarn Country Park for a there-and-back journey of five miles. Stop off for a lakeside picnic at Cei Llydan, or visit the National Slate Museum at Gilfach Ddu.
National Slate Museum
Attraction
The National Slate Museum is sited in the Victorian workshops built in the shadow of Elidir mountain, site of the vast Dinorwig quarry.
Parc Glynllifon

An unexpected gem! You’ll find extensive historic gardens – Grade I listed, no less – with woodland walks, follies and sculptures.
Plas Brondanw Gardens
