Inigo Jones Slate Works
Inigo Jones Slate Works was founded in 1861 mainly to prefabricate school writing slates. Today the company uses the same raw material namely 500 million year old Welsh slate to produce architectural, memorial, landscape and craft products.
The company has by popular demand a self-guided tour of the works with audio players available in several languages, leading you around our exhibitions. There are opportunities for you to try your hand at calligraphy and engraving a piece of slate that you get to keep as a souvenir. Also available is a new quiz for children and a slate prize to be won!
Showroom on site includes slate products prefabricated in the workshops as well as other Welsh and Celtic gifts. Nameplates and plaques can be made to order.
Café and Farm Shop on site with large Car Park.
